I've only taken art one and photo shop and i am now in art 3/4, even though I don't think I am the best artiest, I have always enjoyed art. I think art is really relaxing compared to all my other classes.
What I learned this year in art so far is monochromatic paintings, lines, and creativity. The first projects that we worked on was had to do with lines and how to draw them. We started out drawing lines that represent different emotions, and then we moved on from there to draw our rope. the rope was actually kind of hard. The hardest part was making the rope look real and the shading that you had to do as well, in the end I thought i did a pretty good job.
The second project that we did in here was our identity project, and the hardest part of this project was coming up with an idea. But after I thought of an idea the rest was easy and I thought it turned out good. Our last project that we did we the monochromatic painting, i had to do this project twice because the first time I used two different colors not just none. lol However my second try turned out pretty good and I was happy with how well I was able to blend the different shades of orange.
I think that the biggest think that I improved on this semester is technique just over all. I got a lot better at making my drawings and painting look fished and clean. I also learned how to blend colors better while painting and my shading has improve quit a bit this year so far.
Next semester I'm really looking forwarded to learning new technique and hopefully do some clay! I'd like make art project that I can keep for awhile so like a cup or something that I can use or a painting/drawing that I can frame and hang up.
